DESCRIPTION:In this class you will learn how to produce your own plants for little or no cost. \nYou will learn various techniques for propagating plants and be shown what plants to propagate at this time and the best method to use. \nThe course will cover plant division\, taking root and stem cuttings\, layering and seed sowing. \n \nThese easy techniques allow you to increase your plant stock for use in your own garden or for swapping with friends. \n \nCost includes all materials\, lunch and coffee breaks. SUMMARY:Hypertufa Troughs (Two half days – Sun 14th & Sun 21th June)
DESCRIPTION:Learn how to make an inexpensive stone trough look-alike from hypertufa from easily obtained materials. \nStone troughs can be very heavy but the use of vermiculite in our mix makes them considerably lighter and a lot easier to handle. \nOn the first part of this workshop Sunday 14th June (10am – 3pm) you will sculpt your own small trough. In the second part of the workshop Sunday 21th June (10am – 2pm) you will finish your trough using techniques to make it more natural and aged looking. We will then look at how to plant it up with succulents. You will also learn how to propagate succulents to bring home to fill your trough. \nPrice includes tea/coffee on arrival and  home-cooked lunch on both days.
